Hit Streak for Gentry Reaches 20 Monday, April 4th , 2022 The Villa Park High School Spartans stopped the Lubbock Cooper High School Pirates, 8-7, and Harry Gentry collected a base hit yet again. The Villa Park High School left fielder finished with 3 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Gentry told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Harry Gentry hit a solo-shot off Jake Tally in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and walked in the 8th. Thus far this year, Gentry has hit .412 with 10 home runs and 18 RBIs. |
