Breece Tags 3 HR Against Buccaneers Friday, April 1st , 2022 Jay Breece went on an explosive hitting spree against the Berkeley Prep High School Buccaneers at Berkeley Baseball Complex, launching a trio of blasts to help the North Hall High School Trojans win, 8-5. The shortstop finished 3-for-4 with 3 runs scored and 6 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Breece said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Berkeley Prep High School skipper Travis Hamilton said Breece was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Jay Breece hit a solo-shot off Tom Koch in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Tom Koch in the 4th, walked in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Nick Carone in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. Posting a .170 batting average to date, Breece has 3 home runs and 6 RBIs. |
