Vincent Leyva Out for Season Wednesday, April 7th , 2021 Vincent Leyva has to call it a season. The Liberty High School Patriots reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Lake Brantley High School Patriots and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Leyva was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 12 months. To date in the season, Leyva is 0-0 with 5 relief appearances and no saves. He has held opposing batters to a .436 average, pitched 8.1 innings, struck out 4 and walked 0 while recording a 7.56 ERA. |
