MacPherson Hits 3 Homers Wednesday, April 10th , 2019 Hitting three home runs in a game is usually something to celebrate, but there was no celebration to be found at Keller High School Stadium after the hitting barrage from Mike MacPherson. The Keller High School Indians dropped the contest 19-6 to the Jesuit High School Tigers, leaving MacPherson with only a historical footnote as consolation. Mike is blessed with a natural home run swing so he gets the ball up in the air real quickly," Keller High School manager Pablo Ramos said after the loss. "It's just a shame we couldn't win the game, too. I'm sure it spoils the day a little for him." Along with putting three in the stands, MacPherson went 3-for-5 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," he told reporters after the game. "Mostly you'll fail if you really try to hit one, but today I tried on the last one." Mike MacPherson hit a solo-shot off Jason Dozier in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jason Dozier in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Steve Wagner in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. For the year MacPherson is batting .297 with 6 home runs, 17 RBIs and 15 runs scored. |
