Harper Socks It to Cavaliers, Cracks 5 Hits Monday, April 5th , 2021 The Lake Travis High School Cavaliers couldn't stop Keith Harper, but they stopped the Clayton Valley Charter High School Eagles, 7-6. Harper went 5-for-8 in the game at Cavalier Field, but his team still came out on the wrong end of the score. "I feel bad for Keith -- that's not how any of us wanted things to turn out," said Clayton Valley Charter High School manager Jason Shumate. "The Cavaliers were on their game today." Keith Harper singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Andy Rosen in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, singled in the 9th, walked in the 12th, hit an RBI double in the 13th, singled in the 15th and struck out in the 17th. This season, Harper has delivered 13 hits in 55 at-bats for a .236 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .328 clip and his totals also include 8 RBIs and 8 runs scored. This year Harper has played in 14 games. |
