Fans at Notre Dame Stadium today watched Baker power the Buchanan High School Bears to a 9-6 win over the Notre Dame High School Knights, blasting a trifecta of home runs. "I've always loved hitting in Notre Dame Stadium," the catcher told reporters following his big day. "You can see the ball so well." For the game, he collected 3 hits in 3 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 6 RBIs. Mike Baker hit a two-run home run off Travis Williams in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Travis Williams in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Steve Wagner in the 6th and walked in the 7th. To date this year Baker is batting .368 with 6 home runs. |
