Trojans End Torres Streak Tuesday, March 23rd , 2021 It was a doubly miserable day for David Torres of the Villa Park High School Spartans, as he saw his 23-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 3-0, to the Taravella High School Trojans at Villa Park High School Field. The 17-year-old right fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Trojans. "Anyone on a 23-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Taravella High School manager Steve Sepulbeda said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." |
