Williams Smacks 3 Out of the Park Wednesday, March 27th , 2019 Jon Williams went on an explosive hitting spree against the Buford High School Wolves at Coppell ISD Baseball Complex today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Coppell High School Cowboys to the 22-4 win. The third baseman finished 4-for-6 with 4 runs scored and 5 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Williams said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Buford High School skipper Bill Foster said Williams was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Jon Williams hit a solo-shot off Mark Schwarz in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jose Portillo in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Bryan Montana in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Batting .414 to date, Williams has 6 home runs and 10 RBIs. |
