Eagles Halt Kopp's Hit Streak Wednesday, March 27th , 2019 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Mike Kopp as he saw his 21-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 3 at-bats at the hands of the Clayton Valley Charter High School Eagles. It wasn't all bad for the 17-year-old first baseman and the Doral Academy Firebirds however, as they defeated Clayton Valley Charter High School 8-3 at Doral Academy Baseball Complex. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Kopp laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." Currently Kopp is hitting .321 and has collected 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 6 times, while playing in 7 games. |
