Peterson Hits 3 Homers Against Lowndes High School
Monday, March 25th , 2019
Matt Peterson of the Spartans went on a hitting spree at St. Johns Country Day High School Stadium today and earned membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He blasted three into the stands in a 10-8 loss to the Lowndes High School Vikings.

"I'm not happy with the outcome of the game, but it was still a great game for me," Peterson said in the clubhouse following the loss. "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too."

The St. Johns Country Day High School first baseman did indeed have quite a game, collecting 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 3 RBIs and scoring 3 runs.

Matt Peterson grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Carter Coccaro in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Frank Stroud in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Joel Davidson in the 9th.

This season Peterson has 5 home runs and a .333 batting average.
