Bang-up Game: Mills Slams 3 Homers Monday, March 28th , 2022 Chris Mills brutalized the Cartersville High School Hurricanes pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 29-5 Harlem High School victory at Federals Stadium. The Harlem High School Bulldogs catcher was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 5-for-6 with 12 RBIs and 5 runs scored. "Too much Chris Mills today," Hurricanes manager Bobby Mitchell said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Chris Mills hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Matt Connard in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jesse Adams in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, walked in a run in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off David Vega in the 8th. |
