5-Hit Blitz by Clayton Valley Charter High School's Mikel Monday, March 28th , 2022 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Daniel Mikel. Mikel went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Woodstock High School pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Woodstock High School Stadium, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Clayton Valley Charter High School Eagles had a win, 18-2, over the Wolverines. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Daniel Mikel singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. Mikel is swinging at a .500 pace on the year with 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has played in 8 games. |
