Borich Belts 3 HRs Sunday, March 22nd , 2020 It was a good day for the Allatoona High School Buccaneers and an exceptional one for Jim Borich. The 17-year-old center fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Buccaneers beat the Taravella High School Trojans 14-1 at Taravella High School Baseball Stadium. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Borich said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 6 runs and smacked 4 hits in 6 at-bats. Jim Borich struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Brian Slepski in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Brian Badgett in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Bobby Gearing in the 9th. |
