Big Day with Bat: Bower 5-for-6
Wednesday, March 23rd , 2022
The Tompkins High School Falcons stopped the Windermere High School Wolverines by a score of 11-8 at Windermere Baseball Complex, with the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Mark Bower. The 18-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.
"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Bower said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."
Bower did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Wolverines.
"Not much that I can say," offered Windermere High School manager Trent Perry. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
Mark Bower grounded out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off John Albrecht in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
