Wunder is Best In AHS

At the age of 16, Rob Wunder of the Keller High School Indians could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2024 was good enough to win the second baseman the ABA High School Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .350 batting average this year, as well as a .424 on-base percentage. He played 38 games and racked up 55 hits, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 34 home runs, 65 RBIs and 46 runs scored.
He received 37 first place votes out of a possible 64. J.J. Rau of the North Oconee High School Titans finished second in voting with 19 first place votes, while Miguel Garcia of the Harlem High School Bulldogs finished third with 6 first place votes.
