Etiwanda High School Defeats Georgetown High School Sunday, June 2nd , 2024 It's party time in Etiwanda High School. The confetti is flying and residents are smiling. The Etiwanda High School Eagles have reached the mountaintop, capturing the 2024 Round 3 today. They defeated the Georgetown High School Eagles 8-2 at Etiwanda High School Stadium to officially wrap up the series 4-3. Asked how it feels to be a champion, second baseman Matt Higgins was to the point. "It feels great, like a million bucks. I'm so happy right now, not just for me but for all the guys," he said. "We put a lot of work into this and deserve to be champions." The team is planning a victory parade and fan appreciation day later in the week. Etiwanda High School finished the regular season 29-11 and claimed first place in the High School Baseball League California Interscholastics Federation. |
