Georgetown High School Advances to Round 3 Monday, May 20th , 2024 The Georgetown High School Eagles out-dueled and outgunned the Lubbock Cooper High School Pirates in the Round 2 and are on to the next round. Georgetown High School won the final game 6-3 at Eagle Field and the series 4-1. Avery Williams was named series MVP for a strong offensive performance during the Round 2. He had a .474 average with a .583 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs. "I was seeing the ball well and glad to help my team out and get us to the Round 3," he said. The Georgetown High School Eagles don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Windermere High School Wolverines - Etiwanda High School Eagles series. Etiwanda High School leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes. |
