Eagles Win Round 1

The excitement in Georgetown High School is palpable as the local club has advanced through the Round 1.
The Georgetown High School Eagles downed the Keller High School Indians 7-2 tonight at Keller High School Stadium, to take the series 4-2.
"Things are going to get crazy in Georgetown High School for the Round 2. The fans are going to be behind us 100 percent, we know that," said Avery Williams, who earned MVP honors.
"There's a lot of motivation in our clubhouse right now to make sure we give them something to cheer about."
For the series, Williams hit .400 with a .423 on-base percentage. He had 10 hits, 1 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 2 runs.
The Georgetown High School Eagles will play against the Lubbock Cooper High School Pirates in the next round. Lubbock Cooper High School won their series against the Buford High School Wolves 4 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
