Pirates Move on to Round 2 Tuesday, May 14th , 2024 The Lubbock Cooper High School Pirates have beaten the Buford High School Wolves and will advance to the Round 2. Lubbock Cooper High School won the final game by a 8-7 count to take the series 4-2. The Pirates triumph was no doubt in large part because of the performance of second baseman Ross Hruska, who was named MVP of the series. "The only thing that matters is that we're off to the next round and one step closer to a Round 3," he said. The Lubbock Cooper High School Pirates don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Georgetown High School Eagles - Keller High School Indians series. Georgetown High School leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
