Hicks Jacks 3 into the Stands Saturday, May 11th , 2024 Fans seated in the bleacher section at Etowah Baseball Field were taking cover all day long as Adam Hicks zeroed in on them, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. The big game from the Etiwanda High School left fielder helped the Eagles take the victory, 14-4, over the Etowah High School Eagles. "I told myself not to press on the last one," he told reporters in the postgame press conference. "I knew I couldn't force it -- it has to be a nice easy swing." For the game, he collected 3 hits in 6 at-bats, drove in 7 and scored 3 runs. Adam Hicks struck out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Scott Chrysler in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Scott Chrysler in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Rickey Dickinson in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. So far this year in 40 games, Hicks is hitting .284 with 25 home runs, 48 RBIs and 42 runs scored. |
