Eagles Clinch Wild Card Sunday, May 5th , 2024 The Georgetown High School Eagles clubhouse was filled with loud music and revelry late into the night, as the team celebrated a ABA High School wild card position. The team, whose record stands at 26-13, battled throughout the year, but ultimately saw the quest for the playoffs come down to the season's final games. "I'd be lying if I said we knew we were going to make it," said reliever Troy Alexion. "We did have confidence, but in the back of your mind you always wonder what's going to happen. There were some good teams pushing us." Now the Eagles don't have to worry, as they are in position to potentially win the 1st ABA High School championship in franchise history. |
