Conaway Torches Firebirds for 5 Hits Saturday, May 4th , 2024 It was a big day for Sam Conaway and he brought the Clayton Valley Charter High School Eagles along for the ride. Conaway led his club to victory, 9-6, over the Doral Academy Firebirds at Clayton Valley High School Stadium, smoking Doral Academy pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. The 17-year-old shortstop later called the victory "sweet." Sam Conaway hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. So far this year, Conaway has 5 home runs and a .278 batting average. |
