Ferland Is King of Swing: Goes Deep 3 Times Saturday, May 4th , 2024 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Jared Ferland did at St. Johns Country Day High School Stadium, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 11-5. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Ferland said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The St. Johns Country Day High School Spartans third baseman blistered the Stockdale High School Mustangs for 3 hits, batted in 5 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Stockdale High School manager Steve Clements said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Jared Ferland flied out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Chris Miller in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Chris Miller in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Ray Swartz in the 7th and was hit by a pitch in the 8th. This year, Ferland is batting .221 with 14 home runs and 34 RBIs. |
