Woodstock High School's Gulbranson Elbows His Way to AHS Award

Dave Gulbranson finished off a fine season by taking home the ABA High School Pitcher of the Year Award today.

The Woodstock High School hurler went 7-0 on the year, posting a 1.36 ERA. Gulbranson also tallied 59 strikeouts in 46.1 innings and allowed opposing batters to hit only .165 against him.

He received 64 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Allen Ellingson of the Pace High School Patriots finished second in voting, while Josh Poehlein of the Lake Travis High School Cavaliers finished third.
