Hickson Smashes 3 Homers for Calvary Christian High School Friday, May 23rd , 2025 Fans seated in the bleacher section at Buccaneer Baseball Field were taking cover all day long as Nick Hickson zeroed in on them, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. The big game from the Calvary Christian High School third baseman helped the Warriors take the victory, 9-3, over the Allatoona High School Buccaneers. "I told myself not to press on the last one," he told reporters in the postgame press conference. "I knew I couldn't force it -- it has to be a nice easy swing." For the game, he collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 4 and scored 3 runs. Nick Hickson singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Paul Draper in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jeremy Greer in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jason Rabenau in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. Thus far this year, Hickson has hit .229 with 9 home runs and 22 RBIs. |
