Hall on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Allatoona High School Thursday, May 22nd , 2025 A jubilant Alex Hall joined the postgame press conference at Buccaneer Baseball Field to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Allatoona High School Buccaneers pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the Calvary Christian High School Warriors first baseman, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-6 hitting performance, which led to the 8-5 Warriors win. "He made it look easy," said Manny Ortega, manager of the Buccaneers. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Alex Hall hit a solo-shot off Dave Aguirre in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Jeremy Greer in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 10th. So far this year, Hall has 8 home runs and a .295 batting average. |
