Shumaker 5-for-6 for Etiwanda High School Monday, May 5th , 2025 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Etiwanda High School's Mike Shumaker made it happen against the Patriots. Everything came together at the plate for the 16-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and helped the Eagles triumph, 12-11, at Etiwanda High School Stadium. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Shumaker said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Mike Shumaker hit a two-run home run off Dave Corrad in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Dave Corrad in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Thus far in 2025, Shumaker is hitting .272 with 20 home runs, 43 RBIs, 44 runs scored and has compiled a .372 OBP. |
