Buccaneers Wilhelm Booms 3 HRs Sunday, May 4th , 2025 Kyle Wilhelm went on an explosive hitting spree against the St. Johns Country Day High School Spartans at Buccaneer Baseball Field, launching a trio of blasts to help the Allatoona High School Buccaneers win, 15-1. The right fielder finished 4-for-4 with 3 runs scored and 9 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Wilhelm said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." St. Johns Country Day High School skipper Alec Johnson said Wilhelm was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Kyle Wilhelm hit a solo-shot off Walt Glosser in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Walt Glosser in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Tim Donaldson in the 6th and hit a three-run triple in the 7th. This season, Wilhelm has hit at a .315 clip with 37 RBIs, 14 home runs and 28 runs scored. |
