Thursday, June 20th , 2019
The future looks extremely bright for George Kinder. At the age of 16, many players are still trying to find their way in ABA High School.
Kinder has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the ABA High School Most Valuable Player Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .363 this year, that's for sure," the first baseman said.
The Rockwall-Heath High School Hawks star also put up a .472 on-base percentage this year, with 53 hits, 7 doubles, no triples, 27 home runs, 54 RBIs and 44 runs scored.
He received 56 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Brian Hendrix of the Buchanan High School Bears finished second in voting, while Nelson Ziersch of the Jesuit High School Tigers finished third.
