O'Brien on Fire: Burns Notre Dame High School with 3 HR Saturday, May 3rd , 2025 Casey O'Brien brutalized the Notre Dame High School Knights pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 15-12 Villa Park High School victory at Notre Dame Stadium. The Villa Park High School Spartans first baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-6 with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Casey O'Brien today," Knights manager Jonas LeMire said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Casey O'Brien struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Clay Kraus in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Clay Kraus in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Dustin Goldsmith in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. Thus far this year, O'Brien has hit .353 with 20 home runs and 57 RBIs. |
