Boerne High School Snaps Holcomb Streak at 23 Thursday, May 1st , 2025 The streak has been snapped. Sam Holcomb failed to get a hit in today's game against the Boerne High School Greyhounds, bringing his 23-game hitting spree to an end. The 16-year-old Parkview High School right fielder was 0-for-4, but the Panthers got the win and defeated the Greyhounds, 5-1. "I'm not disappointed at all -- I had a great run," Holcomb said. "I got to 23 games. I got my name into an elite group with a bunch of good ballplayers. What's there to complain about?" Holcomb is currently batting .397 with 11 home runs and 26 RBIs. |
