Conquerors End Andrews Streak Thursday, May 1st , 2025 Matt Andrews, left fielder for the Pace High School Patriots, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 5 tries against the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors. Not only did the Conquerors break his 21-game hitting streak, they also beat Pace High School by the score of 7-4. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Andrews said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." This season, Andrews is batting .396 with 16 home runs. |
