Woodliff Given 4-Game Suspension
Sunday, April 27th , 2025
The league commissioner's office has notified the Tompkins High School Falcons that second baseman Mike Woodliff has been given a 4-game suspension for his involvement in an incident with the home plate umpire in yesterday's Tompkins High School-Jesuit High School game at Paul Straub Field at Hyer Family Park. After being called out on a pitch that he deemed a ball, Woodliff aggressively expressed his displeasure and was promptly ejected from the game.
In the league suspension notice, it stated that he was suspended for making an obscene gesture toward the umpires prior to entering the dugout. The league said that type of behavior would not be tolerated.
Woodliff and the Falcons were unavailable for comment.
In the 2025 season Woodliff is hitting .255 with 6 home runs.
