5-Hit Barrage by Nuzum Friday, April 25th , 2025 Etiwanda High School left fielder Brian Nuzum had a big day at Spring Hill High School Baseball Complex against the Spring Hill High School Panthers. The 17-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led to the 12-5 Eagles triumph over Spring Hill High School. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Nuzum said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Brian Nuzum doubled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Sean Williams in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Nuzum has collected 33 hits for the Eagles this year, 9 of them home runs. He has also netted 23 RBIs and scored 31 runs while batting .268. |
