Martin Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Friday, May 5th , 2023 Joe Martin really sizzled at the plate in his team's 24-14 win over the Jesuit High School Tigers. The Chiles High School left fielder blistered Jesuit High School for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Martin was too tough to get out today," the Tigers skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Joe Martin hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, was hit by a pitch in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. At the moment, Martin is batting .303 with 12 home runs and 35 RBIs. He has played in 40 games and scored 32 times. |
