Jason Rabenau Lost for Season Thursday, May 4th , 2023 The doctors have spoken and Jason Rabenau of the Allatoona High School Buccaneers didn't like what he heard. The 14-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Rabenau sustained his season-ending injury during the Buford High School Wolves game yesterday at Gerald McQuiag Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Allatoona High School medical staff reported Rabenau had a damaged elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13 months. This year, Rabenau has chalked up a 2.70 ERA with 1 save. In 19 relief appearances he has put up a 4-1 won-lost mark and struck out 26 batters in 20 innings. |
