Marsh Bashes 5 Base Hits Monday, April 21st , 2025 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Marcus High School's Jim Marsh made it happen against the Pirates. Everything came together at the plate for the 17-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and helped the Marauders triumph, 9-4, at Lubbock Cooper High School Stadium. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Marsh said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Jim Marsh singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This year, Marsh is batting .327 with 35 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 15 times and has batted in 18 runs. |
