Pirates Move on to Round 3 Wednesday, May 26th , 2021 The Sinton High School Pirates are riding high after knocking off the Notre Dame High School Knights in the Round 2. "We're feeling confident now and that's half the battle," said Steve Banks, who was named series MVP. "You play confidently, you play well and it shows up with results like this." Sinton High School won the final game by a 10-5 count at Notre Dame Stadium and the series 4-2. For the series, Banks hit .381 with a .458 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Sinton High School Pirates will play against the Pope High School Greyhounds in the next round. Pope High School won their series against the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors 4 games to 0. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes. |
