Greyhounds Dominate, Sweep Round 2 Sunday, May 23rd , 2021 The Pope High School Greyhounds had all facets of their game going and have swept the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors in the Round 2. Pope High School now heads off to the Round 3, after wrapping up the series with a 7-6 win. Hector Landa was named MVP, as he put up a .417 batting average, with a .611 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Pope High School Greyhounds don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Sinton High School Pirates - Notre Dame High School Knights series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes. |
