Hitting Streak Still Alive for Garcia Monday, April 24th , 2023 Marco Garcia ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games at Buccaneer Baseball Field, when he collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Parkview High School Panthers dropped the game, 14-10, to the Allatoona High School Buccaneers. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Garcia said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Marco Garcia doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. This year, Garcia is batting .365 with 11 home runs. He has scored 25 runs and driven in 39. |
