Nelson Blasts 3 into Bleachers Saturday, April 12th , 2025 JSerra Catholic High School third baseman Troy Nelson blasted three homers at Valiants Field in the 13-4 Lions victory over the Grapevine High School Mustangs. For the game, Troy Nelson scored 3 times and knocked in 6 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Nelson when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-6, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Nelson told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Troy Nelson hit a solo-shot off Tony Santana in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Tony Santana in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Angelo Mares in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. In 21 games Nelson is hitting .383 this season with 36 hits, 9 home runs, 17 RBIs, 10 walks, .442 OBP and has scored 18 runs. |
