Lancers Dominate, Sweep Elite Eight
Saturday, May 18th , 2019
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the ABA High School Elite Eight. It turned out quite a bit different.

The Saint Francis High School Lancers swept aside the Berkeley Prep High School Buccaneers to advance to the Final Four, winning the final game by a 8-4 score at Saint Francis High School Stadium.

The series MVP was right fielder Matt O'Leary, who hit .500 with a .444 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 1 runs.

"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."

The Saint Francis High School Lancers will play against the Stoneman Douglas High School Eagles in the next round. Stoneman Douglas High School won their series against the North Hall High School Trojans 2 games to 0. The Final Four schedule will be announced after the Elite Eight finishes.
