Fischer Smashes 3 Homers for Lake Travis High School Friday, April 21st , 2023 Lake Travis High School second baseman Mark Fischer led the Cavaliers to a triumph, 11-5, over the Orange Lutheran High School Lancers, crushing three home runs. "He's scary good when he's swinging the bat like that," said Lake Travis High School skipper Caleb Carrington. Indeed, Fischer put up some "scary good" numbers: three homers, 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 3 runs and 3 RBIs. "I'm just thinkin' about winning ballgames," Fischer said. "When you think about home runs, you very seldom get 'em." Mark Fischer struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Chris Kirkbride in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Chris Turner in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Tomas Valenzuela in the 8th. For the season, Fischer is currently batting .250 with 10 home runs and 25 RBIs. In 26 games he has reached base at a .304 rate and scored 16 runs to date. |
