Super Swinger -- Hardy Slams 5 Hits Tuesday, April 18th , 2023 John Hardy did a number on the Marauders in the 20-5 Huntington Beach High School victory -- and the number was 5. The Oilers second baseman banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Dreamfield to lead his club past the Marcus High School Marauders. "I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." John Hardy singled in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Danny Flores in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. For the season, Hardy is currently batting .277 with 9 home runs and 25 RBIs. In 23 games he has reached base at a .395 rate and scored 29 runs to date. |
