Opening Round Goes the Distance, Southlake Carroll High School Prevails Saturday, May 11th , 2019 After their 5-3 win today at North Oconee High School Stadium over the North Oconee High School Titans, the Southlake Carroll High School Dragons will advance to the Sweet 16. Southlake Carroll High School won the series by a 2-1 margin. Leading the way for the Dragons was center fielder Colin Burke, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP. "I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus." The Southlake Carroll High School Dragons will play against the Stoneman Douglas High School Eagles in the next round. Stoneman Douglas High School won their series against the Sinton High School Pirates 2 games to 0. The Sweet 16 schedule will be announced after the Opening Round finishes. |
