Trojans Move on to Sweet 16 Saturday, May 11th , 2019 The fans in North Hall High School are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Marcus High School. The North Hall High School Trojans finished off the Marcus High School Marauders 3-0 in the deciding game of the Opening Round played at Cottrell Baseball Field. They took the series 2-1 and will now head to the Sweet 16. For his standout play, North Hall High School left fielder Dave Reisinger was voted the series' Most Valuable Player. He batted .545, drove in 4 runs and scored 2 to lead his club to victory. "We could never really figure out how to pitch to Reisinger and that doomed us," said Marauders manager Alfredo Rojas. "Hats off to North Hall High School, though. That was a great series." The North Hall High School Trojans don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Etowah High School Eagles - Spring Hill High School Panthers series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Sweet 16 schedule will be announced after the Opening Round finishes. |
