O'Brien Sizzles with 25-Game Batting Streak Wednesday, May 1st , 2024 The hot bat of Spartans first baseman Casey O'Brien continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 25 games after he went 1-for-5 in today's 5-4 loss to the Tigers at Paul Straub Field at Hyer Family Park. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Casey O'Brien struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Alex Cortina in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. In his 2024 season totals, O'Brien has 22 home runs, .389 BA, .456 OBP, 45 RBIs and 38 runs scored. |
