E-AA Names Top Player of the Week Monday, April 29th , 2024 When it came to hitting the baseball, Armando Gomez was in a class by himself in the Eastern AA this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding left fielder for Encinitas tagged opposing pitchers for a .458 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 11 hits in 24 at-bats, 5 homers, 8 runs scored and 10 RBIs. So far in 2024 Gomez is batting .449 with 7 home runs, 23 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He has 35 hits in 78 at-bats and a .578 OBP. |
