Lynch Blisters Fresno
Monday, June 20th , 2022
After his 5-hit effort at Razor Sharks Ballpark was tarnished by Mesa's 7-4 loss to the Fresno Running Rebels, first baseman Ty Lynch told BNN beat writers it was "a missed opportunity for a special day."
"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "I would have been happy to stop there if it meant we got a win."
He didn't get the win, but the 24-year-old had a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Running Rebels.
"His swing is getting there," said Razor Sharks skipper Izzy Montano after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Ty did that to perfection and we wasted it."
Ty Lynch singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
In his 2022 season totals, Lynch has 12 home runs, .261 BA, .369 OBP, 39 RBIs and 42 runs scored.
