GONE! GONE! GONE! 3 HRs for Gohlke Monday, April 17th , 2023 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Cougars-Bears game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Rohnert Park first baseman Mike Gohlke thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Rohnert Park to a win, 17-8, over Traverse City. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Gohlke said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Gohlke, who is tied for 3rd in the E-AA in home runs with 5, was 5-for-5 on the day with 8 RBI. Mike Gohlke singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Danny Arroyo in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Danny Arroyo in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 9th and hit a sac fly in the 9th. This season, Gohlke is batting .471 with 24 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 17 times and has 15 runs batted in. |
